(FV Newswire) January 08, 2010 -- Wealth Net, LLC, creators of the comprehensive new Internet Paycheck System, have announced that they will be making a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation this month during the Foundation’s Seasons of Wishes campaign, which is aimed at making the holidays more joyful for children with terminal illnesses.
“The Make-A-Wish Foundation does amazing work,” said a Wealth Net representative. “And we feel that now, especially during the holidays, we can really make a difference in a child’s life.”
Nearly seventy percent of the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s revenue comes from contributions like those made by Wealth Net and other donors, and the Foundation spends more than 75% of the money it receives on program services, which exceeds the standard upheld by organizations that monitor the work of charities.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980 and is comprised of a network of more than 25,000 volunteers who work as wish-granters, fundraisers, and special events assistants.
The Foundation granted its first wish in 1980 to a little boy named Chris Greicius, when he got to realize his dream of becoming a police officer. Since then, the organization has granted the wishes of more than 174,000 children around the world.
